Description

Permethrin & Cetrimide Lotion is a topical medication used to treat scabies, lice infestations, and skin infections caused by bacteria and parasites. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that acts as a neurotoxin, paralyzing and killing mites and lice, while Cetrimide is an antiseptic and disinfectant that helps prevent bacterial infections. This combination ensures effective treatment and protection against reinfestation.

Administration & Dosage

• For Scabies Treatment:

• For Head Lice Treatment:

  • Apply the lotion to dry hair and scalp, ensuring full coverage.
  • Leave it on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with water and comb out dead lice and eggs using a fine-toothed comb.
  • A second application may be needed after 7 days if lice persist.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Mild burning, tingling, or stinging sensation.
• Temporary redness or skin irritation.
• Dryness or flaking of the skin.
• Itching (may persist for a few days after mites are killed).
