Description

Bilayered Tablet of Metformin (SR) 500mg + Glimepiride 1mg is an oral antidiabetic medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines Metformin, a biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production, with Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from the pancreas. The bilayered formulation ensures sustained release (SR) of Metformin, providing long-lasting blood sugar control, while Glimepiride offers a rapid onset of action.
